The Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, including dental services.
They make sure dental services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care while encouraging continued improvement of those services.
The CQC monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and they publish what they find, including performance ratings to help people choose care.
Standards of care
They set out what good and outstanding care looks like and make sure services meet fundamental standards below which care must never fall.
